Export Your Data

Get a copy of everything in your account

1. In the sidebar, select Settings, then Account
2. Under Your data, select Download your data
3. Wait for the email, then select its link and sign in
4. On the Exports tab, select Download

The export is built in the background, so you can close SnekLog. The file is kept for 3 days. After that, run the export again.

What comes out

One ZIP file:

• README.txt: What’s in the ZIP and how to read it
• account.json: Your account and settings, without your password
• data.json: Every record in your account, with SnekLog’s own column names
• csv: The same records as spreadsheets, for reptiles, feedings, medications, weights, lengths, matings, sheds, cleanings, other events and clutches
• photos: The full-size originals, a folder for each reptile, with a list of which is which
• letterhead: Your logo, if you set one

Dates and times are in UTC.

Limits

One export builds at a time, and you can start 10 an hour, counting emailed reports and certificates. The Download your data row says why when you can’t start one.

If it fails

The Exports tab shows why, and you get an email. Try again.
